Great Debates and Updates of the Diabetic Foot (GDU DF) 2024 - Abstract Submission Submission Portal

Great Debates and Updates of the Diabetic Foot 2024 is now accepting submissions thru Sunday, October 13, 2024 at 11:59 PM ET. Acceptance/Decline notifications will be sent out by Wednesday, October 30, 2024.

Great Debates and Updates of the Diabetic Foot (GDU DF) is committed to providing the highest level of clinical education and information for physicians, nurses, physical therapists, researchers, podiatrists, and dietitians involved in diabetic wound healing or wound care issues as they pertain to diabetic feet.

To be accepted to present an oral or poster abstract during the upcoming GDU DF meeting, each proposed presentation must be described in an abstract. These abstracts are blind-reviewed by a panel of expert judges. Each abstract will be reviewed based on specific criteria for the category in which it is placed. Therefore, it is very important for the author to specify which category the abstract should be entered.

Abstract Presentations

You may select one of the three (3) presentation types for consideration:
  • Poster Presentation
  • Oral (Podium) Presentation
  • Poster Presentation if not selected for Oral (Podium) Presentation

Please note: Commercial interests are not eligible to participate in the GDU Oral Abstract session, as that session is available for CE credit. The ACCME, ACPE, ANCC and CPME defines a “commercial interest” as any entity producing, marketing, re-selling, or distributing health care goods or services consumed by, or used on, patients with the exemption of non-profit or governmental organizations and non-healthcare related companies.

    Acceptance & Correspondence:

Please note that acceptance from a previous GDU DF does not give you automatic acceptance to the current or future GDU DF meetings. Each GDU DF meeting requires a new submission for consideration. Please note that poster presenters are responsible for bringing their poster on-site.

    Primary Contact

All abstract communications will be sent to the primary contact/submitter. The primary contact will be responsible for notifying all authors of important details and deadlines. Please save gdudfabstracts@hmpglobal.com to your address book so that you do not miss important correspondences. Additionally, the website will be updated with any important dates or instructions. We are not responsible for any emails that are not received due to misspellings, defunct email accounts, or emails blocked from gdudfabstracts@hmpglobal.com.

    Disposition/Notification of Acceptance

Abstracts will be accepted on a competitive basis. The acceptance/rejection notification email will be sent to the primary contact. Please do not inquire about the status of your submission before the date noted at the top of this page, as no further information will be available. Prior to the meeting, all information will be forwarded to the primary contact only and they are responsible for notifying all the other authors of upcoming details.

    Intent to Present

Upon acceptance notification, GDU DF will require proof of registration for all accepted abstract presenters (poster and oral/podium). After registering, it is the designated primary contact’s responsibility to mark his/her intent to present through the abstract submissions site by providing the badge number of the registered representative. The badge number can be found on your registration confirmation. Instructions on this process will be included in your acceptance email. Even though you may be registered for GDU DF, intent to present must still be submitted. If the intent to present is not submitted by the date included in your acceptance email, the abstract will be withdrawn.
