The 2023 AIA International Design Awards
AIA International is the broadest geographical component of the American Institute of Architects. The AIA International Design Awards recognize best practices, innovative thinking, and design excellence of AIA members’ projects worldwide. All members of AIA International are eligible to submit entries for projects located anywhere in the world. We also welcome applications from AIA members in the US as well as non-members in the Open International category.
Let’s showcase the best architecture in the world together!
With member insights and submissions, the AIA International Design Awards Program aims to share the importance of architecture and of the role of architects to design for people and planet, towards a future of health, inclusivity and stewardship.
There will be global recognition of the awards with winners to be announced at the AIA International Conference in Mexico City on November 2, 2023, and additionally presented at the upcoming AIA Conference on Architecture (A’24) in Washington, D.C., June 5–8, 2024. Additionally, we continue with the Sustainable Future Award, co-initiated with Dow, to give all members an opportunity for ongoing recognition throughout the coming year for projects which are recognized by our design jury first, and then by carbon energy efficiency experts for designs which reduce energy use, optimize natural resources and steward human health.
