AIA New York State’s Annual Honor Awards celebrate architects, firms, emerging professionals and educators throughout New York State that have contributed significantly to the profession of architecture.
Changes to the 2021 Program
Revised and expanded guidelines for the James William Kideney Gold Medal Award, Matthew W. Del Gaudio Service Award, and Firm Award.
The Firm Award is broken down into three categories:
Small Firm: 1-25 employees
Medium Firm: 26-50 employees
Large Firm: 51+ employees
Who May Nominate an Honor Award Candidate?
Nominations for the James William Kideney Gold Medal Award and Matthew W. Del Gaudio Service Award may come from an AIA New York State member in good standing (someone other than the candidate).
The Firm Award may come from an AIA New York State member or component. Self-nominations are permitted for this award.
All other awards require the nomination by a New York State local Chapter. This can be through the Executive Director, CACE Member or Chapter President.
