WELCOME to the CTOS 2022 ABSTRACT SUBMISSION SITE
Dear Colleagues,
We invite you to join us for the 2022 CTOS Annual Meeting which will be held November 16-19. For the first time since the 2019 meeting in Tokyo, we will again gather in person, and we are pleased to announce that this year’s meeting will be held in the beautiful city of Vancouver on Canada’s Pacific Coast.
After over two years of disruption due to the pandemic, the meeting will offer an opportunity to reconnect, to restore and strengthen networks, and to discover new collaborations. The program will include sessions in tried-and-true formats including oral presentations, poster discussions as well as general poster sessions. Opportunities to refresh, revive and renew relationships will include Meet-the-Expert sessions, mentoring opportunities (both formal and informal), poster walks and a grand gala dinner with dancing and entertainment, guaranteed to be the highlight of your social calendar.
We are pleased to welcome keynote speakers Winette van der Graaf, MD, PhD, who will give the Nina Axelrad Lecture, and Poul Sorensen, MD, PhD, who will give the Herman Suit Lecture. Their presentations are sure to be among the meeting highlights.
Special sessions will focus on lessons learned from the pandemic, including telemedicine delivery, virtual tumor boards, and coordination of multidisciplinary care. The Sarcoma of the Year will be Desmoid Fibromatosis, an area of substantial basic and clinical research and innovation. Another special session will focus on Adolescent & Young Adult Care (including all aspects from basic science, translational and clinical research, to biopsychosocial assessment and patient-reported outcomes). Abstracts related to these special session topics are particularly encouraged.
Click here for a full list of abstract submission categories. Attendance in person is encouraged for optimal live interaction. For those who cannot attend, the meeting will be recorded and available online after the meeting ends.
CTOS is committed to fostering all aspects of sarcoma research and treatment. We welcome physicians working all disciplines that touch on sarcoma care, including radiology (diagnostic and interventional), pathology, surgery (oncologic, orthopedic, reconstructive, neuro-), medical oncology, pediatric oncology, and radiation oncology. We also welcome translational and basic science researchers, survivorship care providers, nursing staff, patients and patient advocates to join us as well to contribute to the scientific program.
We hope that the first post-pandemic CTOS meeting will remind us all of what is great about the Society and what we can accomplish together.
Warm regards,
