Call for “Job Talk” abstracts

As an exciting substitute for the Orlando 2022 ISPE Mid-Year Meeting, ISPE has pivoted from a traditional Mid-Year Meeting to a meeting focused on increasing support of its student and trainee members. One major change is the elimination of traditional research abstract presentations by students and trainees, which will be replaced by "Job Talks."

Job Talks are restricted to trainees who are preparing for the job market. ISPE members who are interested in hiring will be specifically invited to attend these presentations. For all presenters of Job Talks, we will share the information provided in the abstract submission on the Mid-Year Meeting platform and presenters will have opportunities to engage in chat rooms with potential employers. Presenters are given 20 minutes total for their talk (15 minutes to present and 5 minutes for questions) to provide a brief overview of their training, experience, research work, and plans for their future career.

In preparing for the job talk abstract submission, note that the submission includes a brief resume with a brief description of the presenter's expertise, interest and career goals in addition to a presentation of research. Presented research can be a single study or a body of work, which may have been presented or published previously. Presentation of research in the Job Talks will not preclude presentation of study findings at the ICPE 2022 and Job Talk abstracts will not be published in PDS.
