April 28-30, 2025
Hosted by
FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine
The Southern Group on Educational Affairs (SGEA), Student Affairs (SGSA), and Organization of Student Representatives (SOSR) invites abstracts for interactive workshops, oral abstract presentations, small group discussions, panels, and posters for the 2025 SGEA/SGSA/SOSR Annual Conference which will be held in-person in Miami, FL in late April 28-30, 2025. Abstract proposals may represent original research in medical education or innovations in medical education. Abstracts can focus on any level of medical education (UME pre clerkship or clerkship, GME, CME/CPD, SPACE, Admissions, Student Affairs, Student Diversity Affairs, Student Financial Assistance, Student Records, Advising, Learners’ Experiences and Initiatives, or across the continuum).
All proposals will undergo a peer-review process. Students, residents, fellows, new investigators, and colleagues from historically non-majority backgrounds are strongly encouraged to submit their work for consideration.
Abstracts must be submitted online no later than 11:59pm CST October 21, 2024 (extension).
We recommend that you prepare your proposal in a word processing application and then paste each component into the corresponding online section. A submission is considered a commitment to attend the meeting and present if accepted. Submission decisions will be sent to the first author in February 2025.
