Welcome to the ITS World Congress 2025 Call for Contributions Submission Site

The 31st ITS World Congress in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, August 24-28, will explore "Deploying Today, Empowering Tomorrow," reinforcing that the industry is actively deploying technology right now that will build safer roads and a stronger economy for the future.

IT'S World Congress 2025 will bring together the entire intelligent transportation community for (5) days of thought-provoking education, networking, technical tours and demonstrations exploring products, emerging technologies and solutions that will enable a better future transformed by intelligent mobility - Deploying Today, Empowering Tomorrow.

Congress Audience:
The programming will serve the entire spectrum of Intelligent Transportation Systems and the mobility ecosystem including Public Sector Agencies, State Department of Transportations, Cites, Metropolitan Planning Organizations, Transportation Operators and Manufacturers, Research Analysts, Educational Institutions, Consulting Farms, Architects, Engineers, Investors/Venture Capitalists, Innovative urban mobility players-micro-mobility, ride sharing, ride hailing, scooters, Mobility on Demand-public transit, urban air mobility, e.g. helicopters, drones) and more!

Submission Categories:
  • Special Interest Session Proposals If accepted, proposal submitters will organize (or assign a moderator to organize) the 90-minute session content and recruit all speakers/panelists. These sessions are interactive, tailor-made sessions that provide the opportunity to focus on specific topics of interest.
  • Strategic Technology Session Proposals If accepted, proposal submitters will organize (or assign a moderator to organize) the 90-minute session content and recruit all speakers/panelists. These sessions are interactive, tailor-made sessions focused on emerging technologies that are important topics to the ITS industry.
  • Technical and Research Papers If accepted, your paper will be grouped with 4-5 similar-topic papers to form a 90-minute session. The Congress organizers will assign a session moderator who will manage the session.

    Congress Topics:
  • Vehicle automation: cars, trucks, transit, shuttles, off-road
  • Connected Transportation: V2X, vehicle and infrastructure solutions
  • Transportation Systems: traffic management and operations, next generation traffic management approaches
  • Managing and Utilizing data: Digital Infrastructure, AI based tools
  • Sustainability and Resiliency (across all modes and this is more than electrification)
  • Multimodal Integrated Mobility (transit, active mobility, seamless payments, maas, equity)
  • Incorporating Emerging technologies (includes workforce, AAM, blockchain, quantum, 6G etc.)

    Deadline for Submission: December 6, 2024
  • Session Proposals and Technical or Research Papers must be submitted no later than December 6, 2024 .
  • Paper authors may submit up to three papers.
  • Session proposal submitters may submit up to three proposals.

  • Submission Process:
  • Complete and submit paper submissions and session proposals in the on-line proposal form.
  • A confirmation email will be sent upon submission.
  • Sessions will be reviewed by the International Program Committee (IPC) and Papers will be peer reviewed.
  • Submitters will be notified of the decisions by email starting in March 2025
  • All correspondence and notifications will be sent electronically only to the submitter’s email addresses listed on the submission form

  • Selection Criteria:
  • Relevance and timeliness of topic
  • Innovation and tactical focus
  • Quality of proposal or paper
  • Expertise of presenter(s)
  • Commercial-free, vendor-neutral nature of session proposal
  • Diversity among listed speakers (sessions only). ITS World Congress 2025 diversity dimensions include but are not limited: race, ethnicity, age, physical and mental disabilities, sexual orientation and gender, amongst others. Proposed panels with single-gender makeup will not be considered

  • Speaker Compensation:
  • Delivering a session at ITS World Congress 2025 is done on a voluntary unpaid basis
  • All of the speakers’ individual travel and living expenses are at their own expense
  • A special speaker rate is provided to all speakers and moderators
  • All speakers are required to register and pay to participate in the program
