CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Jefferson Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education (JCIPE) invites you to submit abstracts for the 2023 Interprofessional Care for the 21st Century conference which will be held November 3-4, 2023 at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. The purpose of this conference is to showcase scholarly work and works in progress related to interprofessional education and/or collaborative practice.

GOALS/OBJECTIVES:
  1. Describe the value of interprofessional collaborative practice to patients, healthcare providers or the healthcare system;
  2. Design innovative or sustainable interprofessional curricula in the classroom or clinical setting;
  3. Apply assessment strategies for interprofessional education and collaborative practice to evaluate learners, programs, organizations, health outcomes, or healthcare systems;
  4. Implement approaches for preparing faculty for and/or recognizing faculty efforts in interprofessional education and collaborative practice;
  5. Align interprofessional education and collaborative practice with approaches to advance social justice and advocate for change.
TOPICS:
The following broad themes have been chosen for the JCIPE 2023 conference in order to encourage a wide range of abstracts with the focus on improving health outcomes. Abstracts should represent research and/or programs to advance the fields of interprofessional education (IPE) and collaborative practice (CP).
  • Clinical collaborative practice models
  • Curricular innovations: Learners in the clinic and the classroom
  • Evaluation and assessment
  • Faculty development and recognition
  • Social justice, policy, and advocacy
